About me
Dr. Jhony Habbouche is the Western Regional Engineer for the Asphalt Institute, supporting the paving industry across the western United States. He brings experience from academia and public service, including nearly six years as a Senior Research Scientist at the Virginia Transportation Research Council (VDOT’s research division) and prior work at the University of Nevada, Reno. His expertise spans asphalt materials design, performance evaluation, and innovative technologies, including high polymer modification and recycling strategies. Dr. Habbouche is active in the transportation community, serving as a Director-at-Large for the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT) and an Associate Editor for several leading journals.
