About me
Bob McGennis is a consulting engineer specializing in asphalt materials. He recently retired from his role as the Asphalt Technical Manager for the HF Sinclair Corporation, a position he held since 1998. During that engagement he had management authority over product quality control, PG binder and asphalt emulsion formulations, raw materials, and technology. He has worked practically his entire 48-year engineering career in the asphalt pavement construction and technology field. He has served as President and is an Honorary Member of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists and was inducted into the Asphalt Institute’s Role of Honor. Bob received Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed professional engineer in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the back roads and trails of Arizona and elsewhere on a bicycle.
