About me
Kohinoor Kar, Ph.D., P.E., PTOE, FITE (aka "KK") is a multi-faceted professional with academic scholarship and vast experience in traffic engineering and transportation safety practices, industry applications, teaching and research. He is currently a senior manager in the Multimodal Planning Division at the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), serving as the lead for infrastructure competitive grants and highway safety strategies. KK teacher a Transportation Safety graduate class and advises on doctoral dissertation topics at Arizona State University (ASU). He held increasingly responsible positions for the last 22+ years at ADOT. Prior to joining ADOT, Dr. Kar worked for universities and reputed global consulting firms. As a pastime, he enjoys nature and wildlife photography.
